Etat Libre d’Orange - Perfume is dead. Long live perfume!

Our sister company, Saunders&Co recently launched for Mecca the rebel french perfume brand Etat Libre d’Orange. The underlying philosophy of Etat Libre d’Orange and in fact their only rule is that imagination must have free reign. A land where perfumers are freed from censure and have found a subversive and playful territory of expression, Etat Libre d’Orange is a place where personal fantasy has the upper hand on marketing concepts.

With names (and scents) that will guarantee a double take, each perfume represents this left-of-centre ethos, with Delicious Closet Queen, Jasmine and Cigarettes, Hotel Slut, Incense and Bubblegum and Magnificent Excretions (to know what the scent is based on check out the label!)

The Etat range was launched in a saucy event at Mecca's Paddington Sydney Store and with all the slinky french maids, leather bears, berry cocktails and heady scents, most the guests slipped into the night wondering if the past two hours had all been a strange but delightfully wicked dream.
